A workspace is a group of people who share projects. Every project belongs to exactly one workspace, and only members of that workspace can be given access to it.

Your personal workspace

The first time you sign in, Auxilian creates a workspace for you, named after your first name, such as Ada’s Workspace. You are its owner. You can rename it, invite people to it, and create projects in it. If your first sign-in also accepts an invitation to someone else’s workspace, you join that workspace instead and no personal workspace is created. You can’t create additional workspaces yourself. You join other people’s workspaces by accepting their invitations.

The active workspace

The overview and the sidebar list projects from every workspace you belong to. The active workspace decides:
  • Where New project creates projects
  • Which workspace the Settings page manages (name and members)

Switch workspaces

1

Open the account menu

Select your name at the bottom of the sidebar.
2

Choose a workspace

Select the workspace to make it active. Your choice is remembered in this browser.
Until you choose one, the active workspace is the oldest workspace you belong to. AI assistants are not limited to one workspace. They see every project you can open, and create_project takes a workspace id. See create_project.

Rename a workspace

Owners and admins can rename the active workspace.
1

Open settings

Select Settings in the sidebar.
2

Edit the name

Under Workspace, enter a name of 1 to 80 characters and select Save changes.
The new name applies for everyone in the workspace.
