Auxilian writes an activity event in the same transaction as the change it describes. If the change is rolled back, so is the event, so the log never shows a change that didn’t happen.

Notes

  • Row events record counts, not values. The log doesn’t keep copies of your data.
  • update_rows and delete_rows events are recorded even when no rows matched, with count: 0.
  • write.denied is recorded when someone without write access, or with a read-only connection, tries to change an existing project. The tool names the attempted operation, such as insert_rows, create_table, share, or revoke.
  • Rows removed by cascade foreign keys are counted only in the delete_rows event of the table you deleted from.
  • Changes to workspaces, such as invitations and role changes, aren’t project events and don’t appear in project activity logs.

Retention

Events are deleted after 90 days. Deleting a project deletes all of its events. Events stay in the log after the actor deletes their account, until they age out.
