# Troubleshooting

> Fixes for common problems with signing in, connecting AI assistants, access, limits, and data.

## Signing in

<AccordionGroup>
<Accordion title="I signed in but see none of my projects">
You may have signed in with a different Google account. Auxilian accounts are tied to the Google account's email address. Log out from the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar, then sign in with the right account.
</Accordion>

<Accordion title="I was invited but don't see the workspace">
Invitations are accepted when you sign in with a Google account whose email matches the invitation exactly. Ask the person who invited you which address they used. If it's different, ask them to revoke the invitation and invite the address you sign in with.
</Accordion>

<Accordion title=""Too many sign-in attempts" or sign-in keeps failing">
Sign-in is limited to 30 attempts per minute per IP address. Wait a minute, then try again in a single tab.
</Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## Connecting an AI assistant

<AccordionGroup>
<Accordion title="The approval page says it expired">
Sign-in and approval links are single use and expire after 10 minutes. Start the connection again from the assistant.
</Accordion>

<Accordion title=""Your session changed. Start the connection again."">
You signed in to a different account between seeing and submitting the approval page. Start over and use one account throughout.
</Accordion>

<Accordion title=""Cross-site request refused"">
The approval form was submitted from outside Auxilian's own page, for example by a browser extension. Disable extensions that modify pages, then start the connection again.
</Accordion>

<Accordion title="The assistant can read but not write">
The connection was approved read-only. Remove the connector from the assistant and add it again, and make sure the approval page lists "Create projects and tables, and add, change and delete data". If it still doesn't, the assistant only requests read access.
</Accordion>

<Accordion title="The assistant doesn't use Auxilian">
Check that the connector is enabled for the conversation in the assistant's tools menu, and name the project in your message, for example "In my Auxilian project Reading list, ...".
</Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## Access

<AccordionGroup>
<Accordion title="A project link shows a not-found page">
You don't have access to that project, or it was deleted. Auxilian shows the same page in both cases. Ask the project's creator or a workspace owner or admin to share it with you.
</Accordion>

<Accordion title="I can't create a project">
Only the owner and admins of the active workspace can create projects. Switch to a workspace where you are owner or admin from the account menu, or ask an admin to create the project and share it with you.
</Accordion>

<Accordion title="I can see a table but can't add rows">
You have read access. Ask someone with write access to change your permission. See [Share a project](/collaborate/sharing-projects).
</Accordion>

<Accordion title="I can't add someone to a project">
Projects can only be shared with members of the project's workspace. Invite them to the workspace first, under **Settings** > **Members**.
</Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## Limits

<AccordionGroup>
<Accordion title=""Project storage limit (50 MB) reached"">
The project is full, so inserts, updates, new tables, and new columns are refused. Drop tables you no longer need. Deleting rows doesn't reliably lower the measured size. See [How storage is measured](/reference/limits#how-storage-is-measured).
</Accordion>

<Accordion title=""Write budget exhausted" or "Too many changes in a short time"">
You made more than 60 changes in a minute across the web app and AI assistants. Wait a minute. For bulk loads, insert up to 100 rows per call.
</Accordion>

<Accordion title=""Query took too long"">
A query ran longer than 5 seconds. Add filters, lower the `limit`, or avoid `like` patterns that start with `%` on large tables.
</Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## Data

<AccordionGroup>
<Accordion title=""Column ... expects a ... value"">
The value doesn't fit the column type. For example, `integer` columns reject `4.5`, and `boolean` columns reject `"yes"`. See [Data types](/reference/data-types).
</Accordion>

<Accordion title=""Column ... is required"">
The column is `NOT NULL` and got no value. Provide one. When adding a `NOT NULL` column to a table that already has rows, give it a default, or make it nullable.
</Accordion>

<Accordion title=""Referenced row does not exist, or the row is still referenced by another table"">
On insert or update, a foreign key value doesn't match any row's `id` in the referenced table. On delete, another table still references the row with a `restrict` foreign key. Delete or update the referencing rows first. See [Foreign keys](/reference/foreign-keys).
</Accordion>

<Accordion title="I can't drop a table">
Another table has a foreign key to it. The error names the column. Drop that column or table first.
</Accordion>

<Accordion title="The CSV export is missing rows">
Exports include the oldest 10,000 rows. See [Export to CSV](/app/export#tables-with-more-than-10000-rows).
</Accordion>

<Accordion title="I deleted something by mistake">
Auxilian can't restore deleted rows, columns, tables, or projects. Check the [activity log](/app/activity) to see exactly what changed, and restore from an export if you have one.
</Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>
