# FAQ

> Answers to common questions about Auxilian.

  <Accordion title="Is Auxilian free?">
    Yes. Auxilian is free, with [usage limits](/reference/limits) that keep it sustainable.

  <Accordion title="Is it a real Postgres database?">
    Yes. Each project is a Postgres schema, and your tables are ordinary Postgres tables. You work with them through the web app and MCP tools rather than a direct database connection.

  <Accordion title="Can I connect with psql, a BI tool, or an ORM?">
    No. Auxilian doesn't offer direct database connections or connection strings. Use the web app, an MCP client, or CSV export.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I run SQL?">
    No. Auxilian exposes structured operations: create tables, add columns, and read, insert, update, and delete rows with filters. Ask Claude questions in plain language and it combines those operations.

  <Accordion title="Which AI assistants work with Auxilian?">
    Any MCP client that supports remote servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth, including Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, and VS Code. See [Other MCP clients](/ai/other-clients).

  <Accordion title="Can Claude delete my data?">
    Only if you approved write access and you have write access to the project. `delete_rows`, `drop_column`, and `drop_table` are labeled destructive, so clients can ask before running them. Claude can't delete projects or your account. Every change is in the [activity log](/app/activity).

  <Accordion title="Can I sign in without Google?">
    No. Google is the only sign-in method.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I create more workspaces?">
    No. You get one personal workspace and can join others by invitation.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I transfer workspace ownership?">
    No. Each workspace's owner is the person it was created for.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I move a project to another workspace?">
    No. Export its tables, create a project in the other workspace, and have Claude recreate the tables and load the data.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I rename a table or column?">
    No. Add a new column or table, copy the data, and drop the old one. See [Tables and columns](/app/tables#rename-or-change-a-column).

  <Accordion title="Can I import a CSV?">
    The web app doesn't import files. Attach the CSV in a chat and ask Claude to load it. It inserts up to 100 rows per call.

  <Accordion title="Can I undo a change?">
    No. Auxilian has no undo, trash, or self-service restore. Export important tables regularly.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Does Auxilian train AI models on my data?">

  <Accordion title="Where is my data stored?">
    In the United States, in Postgres hosted by Supabase on AWS us-east-1.
